MEMBER GUIDELINES FOR THE MICHAEL CRAWFORD MAILING LIST

BEFORE TYPING YOUR POST:

1.  THINK before you reply to any post.
2.  READ all mail before replying.
3.  READ the footer - it offers instructions.


AS YOU TYPE YOUR POST:

4.   COMBINE posts whenever possible.
5.   UPDATE your subject line.
6.   SPACE between your reply and the original comment.
7.   DELETE extra and unnecessary footers and quoting.
8.   CHECK your addresses before sending.


COMPOSE YOUR POST WITH THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:

9.   RESPECT the opinions of others.
10.   FLAMING is prohibited in any form.
11.   ATTACHMENTS and INTERNET GREETING CARDS are prohibited.
12.   PRIVATE e-mail posted to the list is prohibited.
13.   ONE-LINERS are prohibited.
14.   CHAIN LETTERS, Virus Myths and Urban Legend postings.

15.   APOLOGIES for making posting and other minor mistakes are
       unnecessary and off-topic.
16.   AVOID using all caps
17.   PERSONAL topics should be kept to a minimum
18.   OFF-TOPIC posts should be kept to a minimum
19.   COPYRIGHTS should be observed - post URLs
20.   QUESTIONS, SUGGESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS should be directed to the List Council at  mclist_council@hotmail.com or Berrett Maynard at bmaynard@xmission.com.

21. DON'T assume that a non-response from a complaint or a suggestion
means that the List Owner and/or the List Council is ignoring it. 1)
We try to resolve issues offline. 2) Suggestions are often taken into
consideration at our List Council meetings.

NOTE:  Although the above suggestions are "Guidelines", we ask that all
List Members adhere to these suggestions in order for our List to
continue working smoothly.  If an individual List Member does not follow
the Guidelines, action will be taken at the discretion of the List Owner
and/or the List Council.  This action may include the individual being
unsubscribed from the list, being moderated or being put on a read-only
mode (No Post").

*  If you have a question regarding the verification of a virus warning,
please email the List Council and the Council will attempt to verify the
  warning. If it seems to be authentic, the Council will then post the
  warning.
